<p style="text-align: justify;">From Nov 5<sup>th</sup> to Nov 12<sup>th</sup> 2011, representatives on Women&#8217;s Initiatives Network went on a mission to Gulu, in Northern Uganda, to meet the project’s partners on the ground.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Objectives of the Mission were to set up a strong foundation and framework for partnership between the Archdiocese of Gulu and Women’s Initiatives Network.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The general goals of the proposed project are to contribute to:</p>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>development of the smallholder dairy sector</li>
<li>reduce poverty of the smallholders in North Uganda in a sustainable manner</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Women’s Initiatives Network Board of Directors wishes to thank His Grace, the Archbishop John Baptist Odama for the warm welcome and hospitality the WIN Team has received.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We also wish to thank the Vicar General Monsignor Matthew Odong and the Archdiocese Task Force for their contribution in making WIN Mission a success;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Our thanks also go to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Callistus W. Baliddawa and Prof. Mariano Okot, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Gulu for the fruitful consultations we had during our visit;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We cannot forget to thank the farmers and community members of Amuru, Agago, Pader and Gulu with whom we were given the opportunities to share their experiences and views on how to best address together challenges facing the rebuilding of the lives of their families and children.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We strongly believe that together, as we strive to achieve our goals we will be able to give a better future for our people and a legacy to our Children.</p>
