Our Ethos

WIN seeks to promote the economic development of partner communities by promoting income generating projects and not just handouts.
To achieve that aim, WIN seeks to build partnerships between local communities organizations and small and medium enterprises in developing countries with established enterprises in the Netherlands (Match Making)
At WIN, we believe that encouraging entrepreneurial initiatives and partnerships can have a more sustainable impact on the overall well-being of the community.
On the Netherlands side, we hope that the type of partnerships we foster can help Dutch enterprises achieve their stated aims in terms of corporate social responsibility.
It is in this line that WIN has been actively working with not only Government Funded Institutions but also the Private Sector in promoting Rural Farmers in Developing Countries in their transition from subsistence farming to more profitable business.

Achievements

1. Creation of a databank of community projects to be considered for technical and/or funding purposes
- Includes more then 20 project proposals of farmers groups, cooperatives and SMEs
- Projects were the object of a thorough due diligence through field visits and partnerships with a local consulting firm
2. Field visits in Uganda (senior experts, board members, executive director)
3. Consultations with different funders in the Netherlands on behalf of local Organizations
4. Conducted information seminars in the Netherlands to raise awareness on development issues and fundraise

Value Addition

Over the last years, WIN has established strong local partnerships in Uganda
Through those partnerships, WIN is able to provide assistance and expertise in the following areas:
- Due Diligence
- Project Development and Management, Financial Management
- Capacity Building and Training
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Organizational Development and Management
