1. Rural Poverty
The economic gap between urban and rural populations has never been so acute and the problems of poverty and hunger in rural areas in developing countries so pronounced as they are today. Our programs will be geared towards supporting poor and disadvantaged rural populations increase their households income. Our main objectives are to enable families to diversify their sources of income, achieve food security, and enjoy more healthy lives.
2. Integration of Agriculture and Animal Resources
Most rural families in developing countries draw their income from farming activities. Due to the increasing scarcity of arable land, it is more and more difficult for rural household to generate enough income from their farming activity to feed their families. Our programs aim at supporting rural household in adopting new ways of farming, especially by integrating agriculture and animal farming. Our main objectives are to increase farm productivity and empower rural populations in their exchanges with their communities and the urban communities, and support farmers in their transition from subsistence farming to a more market oriented farming.
3. Capacity building
In order to achieve a sustainable development, we have to address capacity building within the communities and their institutions, especially at the grassroots levels. Our programs will aim at increasing access of rural households to formal and informal education. Our main objectives are to allow rural households to take informed decisions and become more competitive in an increasingly globalized world economy.
